Rail Line Services Down Between Tauranga and Auckland

We would like to make customers aware of delays in the rail service between Tauranga and Auckland due to some track works being undertaken.

Below is the notice we have received. There will likely be delays as they clear the backlog.

Due to a KiwiRail Block of Line there will be no rail services between the Port of Tauranga and Auckland Metroport from 0001hrs Thursday 20th October to 0001hrs Tuesday 25th October.

Auckland Metroport remains open for R&D.

This is phase 2 of the maintenance/upgrade that took place earlier this year.

There will be an additional 3 trains per week after the block to alleviate the backlog as soon as possible, additionally cargo can be arranged to collect from Tauranga port.
